Emergency Preparedness Week May 5 to 11, 2024
Everyone has a role to play in an emergency. Emergency Preparedness Week is an opportunity for you to take action to ensure you are prepared to protect yourself, your family, and your community during an emergency.
This year, the theme is Plan for every season! The intent of this theme is to encourage Canadians to take action to become better prepared for the range of emergencies they could face in their region.
All capable adults are responsible to be prepared for unforeseen emergencies. While nobody can predict an emergency, it is important to plan for a variety of possibilities. Your personal plan can make a significant difference to you and your family’s well-being. Emergencies can and do occur without warning.
Everyone is encouraged to have or make a 72 HOUR EMERGENCY KIT. Below are some links to material to help you in preparing Emergency Kits to help keep yourself, your family, and the community safe.
