Notice of Passing - Zoning By-law Amendment

NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF ZONING BY-LAWS

IN THE CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF SOUTH RIVER

 

SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSAL: The proposal is to amend the existing zoning from Residential First Density (R1) to Residential First Density (R1) with an exception to permit one accessory residential dwelling unit. It is municipally known as 15 Grant Court and is legally described as Lot 11, Plan M394. The roll number is 4956-000-001-52160.

 

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Village of South River passed By-law Number 18-2022 on the 25th day of April 2022 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, 1990, as amended. 

 

AND TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to Section 34 (19.1) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, any by-law passed to permit the use of a second residential unit in a detached house, semi-detached house or rowhouse or in a building or structure ancillary to a detached house, semi-detached house or rowhouse is not subject to appeal.

 

AN EXPLANATION of the purpose and effect of the by-law describing the land to which the by-law applies, and a key map showing the location of the lands to which the by-law applies are attached.  The complete by-law is available for inspection at the Village of South River Office during regular office hours. 

 

Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a zoning by-law to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.  A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group.  However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf. 

 

No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
