Volunteer Opportunities
The Village of South River is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support community programs and events throughout the year.
Volunteering is a great way for Almaguin Highlands Secondary School students to earn community involvement hours, gain valuable experience, meet new people, and make a positive difference in the community.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
The Village is currently seeking volunteers for upcoming recreation and community events, including:
- South River–Machar Soccer Program
- Tom Thomson Park Stargazing Events
- Community festivals and special events
- Recreation programs and seasonal activities
Volunteer roles may include event setup, greeting participants, assisting with activities, helping with clean-up, and supporting staff during community programs.
Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone interested in supporting community events and programs is welcome to volunteer with the Village of South River.
We encourage:
- Students seeking Community Involvement Hours for high school graduation requirements.
- Residents who wish to become more involved in their community.
- Adults, seniors, and seasonal residents interested in giving back and supporting local events.
Whether you are looking to gain experience, meet new people, fulfill volunteer hour requirements, or simply make a positive contribution to the community, we welcome your participation.
